Despite being caught in the pandemic, having delays in the construction, VIDA Fitness has opened at 4040 Wilson Blvd in Ballston. Here is everything you need to know.
The general manager of VIDA fitness, Richie Poe didn’t afraid of the spread of COVID-19 and other factors and made opening the location. This Ballston VIDA Fitness is the first non-D.C. location for the high-end local fitness chain.
Richie said, “This is the third VIDA location we’ve opened, and undoubtedly it was different. An opening of the gym was challenging as we have a lot of construction delays and course COVID-19. But the moment we finally managed opening the doors, the members have been happy and positive.”
A regular fitness inspection has been a major part of the opening process. As the VIDA Fitness is ensuring that the gym’s equipment is properly spaced with frequent cleaning.
Poe ensures their safety levels by saying, “undoubtedly we were required to follow a regular health inspection to get saved from COVID-19. We are prepared with everything and settles at its place. We’re following the CDC guidelines strictly such as a mask for indoor use, social distancing by putting equipment out of service. We make sure people are at least 10 feet apart and have hand sanitizer stations around the club.”
We are even doing more than what required like using a machine that develops a kind of disinfectant fog that ensures cleaning the dumbbells between the uses, said Poe.
Richie Poe shared feedback in his statement, “one of our members just emailed me and said she felt safe and comfortable at VIDA Fitness.”
“We also offering a delay in membership who don’t feel coming to gyms yet but don’t want to cancel their services, Poe continued saying.”
He continued saying, “canceling membership will affect our revenue as we are a brand-new club. Now we’re not focusing to make money but hoping to build trust in the community instead. Also, we want to make sure that our members are safe.”
Moreover, a new VIDA Fitness club is still under the process; it will be located at Rosslyn. Richie said, “we’ve planned to launch the gym later this year but as because everything is going on, the opening date gets pushed back to 2021.”
