Coronavirus is airborne says scientists around the world. WHO is asked to revise the recommendations. Read on to know the complete details.
According to hundreds of the scientist of the World, there is evidence that this novel coronavirus has smaller particles in the air and will continue infecting people. We’ve asked the World Health Organization to revise its recommendations.
In the initial stage of the virus spread, the WHO confirmed the reason for spreading. In which they stated, this dangerous disease spread from person to person by a small droplet from the nose or mouth-meaning when a person will get interacted with COVID-19 infected patient’s coughs and sneezes.
Overall, 239 scientists of the 32 countries have shown evidence proving smaller particles in the air can infect people. Even the researchers have planned to publish this research in a specific Journal next week.
However, WHO hasn’t confirmed anything on this research shared by scientists.
Also, the health agency hasn’t found the shared evidence strong enough for the virus is airborne.
Dr. Benedetta Allegransi, the technical lead of the WHO’s infection prevention and control said, “In the past few months, we have been receiving so many recommendations to consider airborne transmission as possible but couldn’t be supported by solid and clear evidence.”
As we all know that COVID-19 is spreading with the speed of an airplane. Though, it is not yet proved that Coronavirus is airborne but we are also required to take it lightly as it is a life-threatening disease. Don’t avoid wearing masks and using sanitizer from time to time. We all should follow the advices for the precautions shared by WHO.
Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Updated.
